Mike Stacy was an active member of the CCLA, who passed away at age 41. Lacking a formal education in horticulture, Mike was acutely aware of the importance of continually expanding his knowledge. He appreciated the educational and professional opportunities gained through his involvement in this association.

The Board of Directors of CCLA established the Mike Stacy Memorial Scholarship in honor of Mike’s leadership role with our association. Each year a minimum of $5000 is available to be awarded to Cape Cod students pursuing a career in the green industry. In addition, the CCLA offers a Toolship award of $500 to the son or daughter of a member pursuing a college education.

Each year the CCLA hosts the Mike Stacy Memorial Golf Tournament to raise funds for these scholarships.
